Dog owner sued after passerby claims he was bitten

A man is suing over claims he was bitten by a dog on North Linder Avenue.

Bruce Marcus filed a lawsuit Feb. 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Elsa Morales, citing the Animal Control Act and negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 16, Marcus was walking past the fence containing Morales's dog on North Linder Avenue when the dog attacked Marcus without provocation. Marcus says he was seriously injured, and Morales is accused of failing to properly control the dog or warn passersby of the risk.

Morales is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. He is being represented in the case by attorney Michael A. Kosner of The Deratany Firm.
