A woman is suing a Chicago bar over claims another patron broke her nose.
Stephanie Polito filed a lawsuit Feb. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against John B. Inc., doing business as John Barleycorn Memorial Pub, and Mary Kate McArdle, citing negligence and the Illinois Dram Shop Act.
According to the complaint, Polito was at John Barleycorn Memorial Pub at 3524 N. Clark St. in Chicago on Oct. 18, when McArdle broke the her nose and caused her to fall.
Polito claims Barleycorn failed to remove McArdle from the premises and continued to serve her alcoholic beverages.
She is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Shannon M. McNulty of Clifford Law Offices P.C. in Chicago.
