A woman is suing over claims she was injured after falling in a parking garage.
Danielle Meier filed a lawsuit Feb. 7 in the Cook County Circuit Court against 111 East Chestnut Condominium, 111 East Chestnut Garage Condominium Association, Standard Parking Corp. Illinois, Hanxiang Wu and Zhouran Wu, citing negligence and premise liability.
The complaint states that Meier parked her vehicle and was walking to exit the garage via the seventh floor elevator at 111 E. Chestnut St. in Chicago on March 30, when she fell on spilled paint.
She claims the defendants failed to provide a safe and clear means of ingress and egress, failed to properly and timely remove the hazardous substance, failed to perform regular inspections of the premises, caused or allowed a hazardous condition to be present and failed to warn.
Meier is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum and is being represented in the case by attorneys Albert E. Durkin and Jessica R. Durkin of Miroballi Durkin & Rudin LLC.
