First Class Mill Services, A. Finkl & Sons face lawsuit

A man is suing over claims he was injured after being struck by materials.

Lawrence Gelsosomo filed a lawsuit Feb. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against First Class Mill Services Inc. and A. Finkl & Sons Co., citing negligence.

The complaint says on June 4, 2012, Gelsosomo was working as a truck driver and delivered materials to A. Finkl & Sons at 1355 E. 93rd St., Chicago. The plaintiff states the defendants accepted the delivery and agreed to direct and supervise the unloading. During the unloading, the plaintiff was directed by the defendants to stand in a certain location and while standing there, the materials being unloaded became unsteady and struck the plaintiff, causing injuries, according to the complaint.

Gelsosomo is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. He is being represented in the case by Mark J. Vogg of the Law Offices of Thomas J. Popovich.
