A woman is suing over claims she was injured while on the premises of a Chicago bar.
Stephanie Polito filed a lawsuit Feb. 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against John B. Inc., John B. Inc., doing business as John Barleycorn Memorial Pub, and Mary Kate McArdle, citing negligence and the Dram Shop Act.
The complaint states on Oct. 18, Polito was at John Barleycorn Memorial Pub at 3524 N. Clark St., Chicago, when McArdle broke the plaintiff's nose and caused her to fall. Barleycorn failed to remove McArdle from the premises and continued to serve her alcoholic beverages, according to the complaint.
Polito is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by Shannon M. McNulty of Clifford Law Offices PC.
