Hospital sued after minor trips over uneven pavement

A couple is suing, claiming its son was injured on uneven sidewalk.

Kenneth and Linda Meehan, parents and next of friends of the minor boy, filed a lawsuit Feb. 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Adventist Health System/Sunbelt Inc., doing business as Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital and Adventist Health Partners, citing negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, the minor was injured on Oct. 14, when he tripped on uneven pavement at Adventist La Grange Hospital. They claim the the defendants are accused of failing to maintain a safe premises.

Kenneth and Linda Meehan are seeking more than $50,000 in damages and are being represented in the case by attorney Richard F. Burke Jr. of Clifford Law Offices P.C.
