Dean Transportation sued after pushing cart into customer

A woman is suing after a delivery man pushed a cart of products into her while she was a customer at Walgreens.

Sherri Miyagi filed a lawsuit Jan. 23 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Rodolfo Mayen, Dean Transportation Inc., Dean Foods Co. and DFC Transportation Co., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, on March 26, 2012, the defendant was making a delivery to Walgreens, 6798 N. Lincoln Ave., Lincolnwood, and was pushing a cart of product inside. Miyagi says she was shopping at the store at the same time and the defendant pushed the cart of products into her while she was standing, causing an injury.

Miyagi is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit. She is being represented in the case by attorne Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz and Associates Ltd.
