Morton Grove nursing home accused of negligence over resident's fall

A man is suing over allegations he received negligent care from a suburban Cook County nursing home.

Terence King filed a lawsuit Feb. 24 in the Cook County District Court against Bethany Terrace Nursing Centre and Bethany Homes and Methodist Hospital, citing negligence.


King claims he sustained injuries on July 3 after falling atthe defendant's facility at 8425 Waukegan Road in Morton Grove. The suit alleges King was at high risk for falls, and the defendant failed to respond to his calls in a timely manner, resulting in him falling to the ground and fracturing his left leg.

He is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 from each defendant and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Brian Murphy of Hofeld and Schaffner.
