A Cook County woman is suing the owners of a dog she claims attacked her.
Karen Ann Maltz filed a lawsuit on Feb. 25 in the Cook County District Court against Daniel Piske and James Piske, citing negligence and the state's Animal Control Act.
Maltz claims she suffered sever injuries on Sept. 2, when the defendants' dog attacked her while she was at in the 3000 block of North Troy Street in Chicago. According to the suit, Maltz didn't provoke the dog in any way when it attacked her.
She is seeking damages in excess of $30,000, as well as court costs, and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Michael F. Conway of Conway Law Office P.C.
