Two property owners in Chicago are facing suit over claims a woman was injured on their sidewalk.
Edrene Smith filed a lawsuit Feb. 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Bernard Considine and Jennifer Karobogas, citing negligence and premise liability.
According to the complaint, Smith was a tenant at the defendants' property at 6124 N. Washtenaw Ave. in Chicago. She contends she was walking along the sidewalk leading to the entrance of the building on March 3, 2012, when she tripped on the uneven, cracked and detached sidewalk.
Claiming the defendants' negligence caused her injuries, Smith is seeking damages in excess of $30,000. She is being represented in the case by Scott A. Blumenshine of the Law Offices of Meyer & Blumenshine.
