Celtic Corner bar named in slip and fall suit

Jordan

A man is suing over claims he sustained injuries after falling over a board at a suburban Cook County bar.

Daniel Ryan filed a lawsuit Feb. 28 in the Cook County District Court against 7300 Diversey Corp., doing business as Celtic Corner, citing negligence.

According to the suit, Ryan suffered injuries on July 8, 2012, when he tripped and fell down in the walkway of defendant's bar at 7300 W. Diversey Ave. in Elmwood Park.

He claims patrons of the bar were playing a game in which a board with a hole in it is propped up on the ground. The suit alleges the board was left on the ground in a customer walkway, causing Ryan to trip and fall.

Ryan is seeking damages in excess of jurisdictional minimum and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Jeffrey S. Jordan of O'Connor and Nakos Ltd.
