An Evanston restaurant is facing suit after it allegedly served shellfish to a customer after he said he was allergic to it.

Jean Pierre Raymond filed a lawsuit Feb. 28 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Flat Out Crazy LLC, doing business as Flat Top Grill, citing negligence.

The complaint states Raymond was a customer at the restaurant at 707 Church St. in Evanston on March 3, 2012, when he informed the defendant of his allergy to shellfish, but was served food cooked and contaminated with shellfish.

As a result of the defendant's negligence, Raymond claims he was injured.

He  is seeking more than $50,000 in damages, plus costs, and is being represented in the case by the Law Office of Andrew S. Kryder LLC.
