Flower shop sued after woman slips on water

A woman is suing over claims she was injured after falling on water.

Diana M. Schultz filed a lawsuit Feb. 28 in the Cook County Circuit Court against City Scents Ltd., citing negligence.

The complaint states the defendant owned a flower shop and made a floral delivery to 120 N. LaSalle St. in Chicago on May 20, when Schultz she was in the lobby, where slipped and fell on water that was left from the floral delivery.

She claims the defendant was negligent by creating a dangerous condition, failing to remove the water and failing to notify the security guard of the water.

Schultz is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by Craig J. Squillace of Clifford Law Offices.
