Hawthorne Race Course sued for breach of contract

A Will County pavement company is suing over claims a racetrack failed to pay for services.

Advantage Pavement Solutions LLC filed a lawsuit March 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Hawthorne Race Course Inc., citing breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Hawthorne contracted Advantage to repair the asphalt at the entrance to its horse racing track in Cicero. Advantage claims Hawthorne has failed to pay the $50,104.60 fee agreed upon in the contract.

Advantage is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Adisa Krupalija of Clingen Callow & McLean LLC.
