A man is suing over claims he sustained injuries as a result of an item left on the ground in a grocery store aisle.
William Sprinkle filed a lawsuit March 5 in the Cook County District Court against Jewel Food Stores Inc., Supervalu Inc., New Albertsons Inc., Jewel Osco Inc. and Albertson's LLC, citing negligence.
Sprinkle claims he suffered injuries on April 4, 2012, when he tripped and fell down at the defendants' store at 21164 S. LaGrange Road in the Village of Frankfort.
According to the suit, Sprinkle tripped on a broken and lose refrigerator plate on the floor in an aisle, causing him injuries.
Sprinkle is seeking damages in excess of $50,000. He is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Jeffrey J. Tallis of Faklis & Tallis P.C.
