A man is suing over claims he was injured by a faulty bar.
Philip Lipari filed a lawsuit March 7 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Shawmut Design and Construction, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Lipari was working as a bartender at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House on East Oak Street in Chicago's Gold Coast district on Dec. 13, 2012, when the bar flap installed by Shawmut Design became detached and fell on his head.
Lipari is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit and is being represented in the case by attorneys Richard L. Pullano and Mathew T. Siporin of the Law Offices of Richard L. Pullano P.C.
