A woman is suing a Cook County nail shop, claiming she suffered injuries during a pedicure.
Elizabeth Smith filed a lawsuit March 18 in the Cook County Circuit Court against N Nails, Baochau Nguyent and Bide Lee, both individually and doing business as N Nails.
According to the complaint, Smith received a pedicure on April 22 at N Nails, owned by Nguyent and Lee, on West 63rd St. She claims N Nails failed to inform its employee that Smith had diabetes and failed to provide hygienic and sterile instruments for her pedicure.
Smith contends that as a direct result of the defendant's negligence, she suffered injuries to her muscles, ligaments, tissues, nerves and blood vessels in her head and body, and her limbs were bruised, lacerated and torn.
Smith is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by attorney Nancy L. Hirsch of Reibman, Hoffman, Baum & Hirsch.
