Sudz Laundry sued after woman trips

A Chicago resident is suing a laundromat over claims she was injured after tripping over a missing cement tile.

Darlene Bell filed a lawsuit March 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Sudz Laundry citing negligence. The suit also lists Novogroder Mel FD 6423 as a defendant.

The complaint states Bell was walking back into the defendant's premises at 1425 W. Morse Ave. in Chicago on March 15, 2012, when she tripped and fell on a missing cement tile on the floor.

She claims the defendants acted negligently, which caused her injury.

Bell is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum, plus costs. She is being represented in the case by attorneys at Santilli Law Group Ltd.
