A Cook County woman is suing over claims she was injured last month when a train jumped the tracks at the O'Hare Airport station.
Lakeshia Weaver filed a lawsuit March 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Chicago Transit Authority, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Weaver was a passenger on the Blue Line on March 24, when the transit train, operated by a CTA employee, left the tracks, injuring the plaintiff.
Weaver is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimums and is being represented in the case by attorneys Pope & Jaburek P.C.
