A woman is suing property owners in suburban Cook County, claiming she sustained injuries when a door with a faulty door stopper suddenly closed.
Colleen Pease filed a lawsuit on March 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Joseph Maltese and Marianna Maltese, individually and as trustees of The Maltese Family Living Trust dated Dec. 12, 2002.
Pease claims she was entering the defendants' property at 7711 W. Marwood Ave. in Elmwood Park on March 23, 2012, when a door with a faulty stopper closed, causing her to trip, fall and sustain significant injuries.
Pease is seeking damages in excess $50,000 and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorneys from The Law Office of Marc D. Alberts P.C.
