Cta

A man is suing the city's transit authority, claiming he sustained injuries on a bus.

Ahmad Hamed filed a lawsuit March 26 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Chicago Transit Authority, citing negligence.

According to the suit, Hamed was a passenger in a CTA bus on Dec. 8, 2011, when the driver suddenly pulled away from the bus stop at high speed, causing him to fall.

Hamed claims the defendant did not use proper traffic caution and as a result, sustained a fractured femur, which required surgery.

Hamed is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Benjamin B. Kelly of The Vrdolyak Law Group LLC.
