A woman is suing a fast food chain, claiming she was injured after the lid to the beverage dispenser fell on her head.
Joy Ramirez filed a lawsuit March 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against McDonald's Corp. and McDonald's Restaurants of Illinois Inc., citing negligence.
The complaint states Ramirez was at the defendant's restaurant at 233 N. Michigan Ave. in Chicago, when the metal lid to the beverage dispenser dropped and struck her head. She claims the defendants' negligence caused her injuries.
Ramirez is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum. She is being represented in the case by attorneys at Morici, Figlioli & Associates in Chicago.
