Alsip property owner slapped with suit over dangerous carpet

A Cook County woman is suing over injuries she claims she sustained as a result of falling on unsafe carpet.

Keisha Williams filed a lawsuit March 26 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Carlos M. Luis, citing negligence.

According to the suit, Williams claims she suffered injuries on Dec. 12, 2012, when she slipped and fell on the carpet in the stairway of the defendant's property at 11835 S. Karlov Ave. in Alsip.

WIlliams claims the defendant failed to replace the dangerous carpeting, causing Williams to fall and sustain injuries.

She is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented in the case by attorneys with Susan E. Loggans & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
