Bus

A Cook County woman is suing over claims she was sexually abused by a school bus driver.

The woman filed a lawsuit April 7 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Fredrick Henderson and Neal's Bus Service Inc., citing the state's Gender Violence Act.

According to the complaint, between 2007 and 2009, the then-minor woman was coerced into oral sex and sexual intercourse with Henderson, her junior high school bus driver.

The plaintiff claims she became pregnant as a result of one of the incidents.

The suit accuses Henderson of assault and battery and Neal's Bus Service of negligent hiring, training and supervision and for continuing to employ Henderson when it had knowledge of his previous inappropriate behavior toward minor females.

The plaintiff is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Jeffrey S. Deutschman of Deutschman & Associates P.C.
