Mans slips at Walgreens, sues pharmacy and property owner

A property owner and pharmacy in suburban Cook County are facing after a man sustained injuries from slipping on ice.

Volodymir Vintonyuk filed a lawsuit April 1 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Intervest Midwest Real Estate Corp. and Walgreens Co., citing negligence.

The complaint states Vintonyuk sustained injuries on Dec. 17, while he was on the defendant's property at 8361 W. Belmont Ave. in River Grove. He claims he slipped and fell on an ice accumulation that developed due to a downspout.

Vintonyuk is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by George A. Chepov of Chepov & Scott LLC.
