A Cook County woman is suing a nursing home after her shinbone was fractured, claiming that it was the result of negligent care.

Ollie Higgs filed a lawsuit April 4 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Pine Crest Health Care LLC, doing business as Pine Crest Health Care, citing negligence.

Higgs claims she was admitted to Pine Crest Health Care in Hazel Crest on Sept. 23, 2011 and suffered injuries from an improper transfer, resulting in a fractured shinbone.

Higgs is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, attorney's fees and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Michael J. Eisenberg of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman and Associates P.C.
