An iron worker is suing over claims he was injured at an industrial facility in Chicago.

Bryon Olszewski filed a lawsuit April 3 in the Cook County Circuit Court against A. Finkl & Sons Co., citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Olszewski was employed by Imperial Construction as an ironworker at A. Finkl & Sons' industrial facility on East 93rd Street in Chicago on April 4, 2012, when a steel plate fell on him. Olszewski claims Finkl & Sons' failure to maintain a safe work site caused his injuries.

He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Joseph P. Sorce of Goldberg Weisman & Cairo Ltd.
