Medical providers hit with med-mal suit over man's foot surgery; screw distributor sued for product liability

A Cook County man is suing over claims foot surgery led to permanent injuries.

Adam R. Conner filed a lawsuit April 4 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Northwest Podiatry Center Ltd., Dr. Adam W. Bryniczkam, Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center and VASC Inc., individually and as a partner of the surgery center.

According to the complaint, Conner was admitted to Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center on April 6, 2012 for the surgical removal of screws inserted into his foot during a previous surgery performed by Bryniczka, an agent of Northwest Podiatry Center.

Conner claims Bryniczka negligently inserted the screws, which caused permanent damage to his foot. He further alleges the screws, distributed by Symbion, fractured during removal.

Heis seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimums and is being represented in the case by the Nolan Law Group.
