A man is suing over claims he was injured as a result of unsafe conditions at the construction site where he was working.
Douglas T. Zinzer filed a lawsuit April 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Riley Construction Company Inc., citing construction negligence and premises liability.
According to the complaint, Zinzer was installing heavy windows at the company's construction site at 910 N. Gary Ave. in Carol Stream as an employee of Underland Architectural Systems Inc. on April 18, 2013, when he was injured after tripping on muddy, unstable ground.
Zinzer claims Riley Construction Company failed to maintain the work area and provide a safe place for him to work.
He is seeking damages in an amount to satisfy the jurisdictional limits and is being represented in the case by attorneys Sean P. Murray and Julie L. Pustilnik of Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen Ltd.
