Manhold

A cleaning lady is suing over claims she was injured at a condominium complex after stepping on a loose manhole cover.

Danuta Pietura filed a lawsuit April 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against The Park Condominium Association.

According to the complaint, Peitura was emptying trash while cleaning a unit at The Park Condominium on East 56th Street in Chicago on April 18, 2012, when she stepped on a manhole cover and it tipped, causing her to partially fall into the hole and sustain injuries.

She claims the defendant failed to maintain the area around the dumpsters.

Pietura is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by attorney Matthew D. Goodstein of Belcher Law Office.
