A suburban Cook County property owner is being sued by a man he hired to perform drywall work at his home.
Oscar Sanchez filed a lawsuit April 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court against John T. Tran, citing negligence.
The complaint states Tran hired Sanchez to perform drywall work in his garage on Troy Avenue in Posen. Sanchez claims he fell from a substantial height after his ladder shifted from being placed on unsecured plywood that Tran provided.
Sanchez is seeking more than $50,000 in damages, plus costs, and is being represented in the case by Mark L. Karno of Mark L. Karno & Associates.
