A Cook County man is suing over claims he was injured using a table saw.
Hazem Rihani filed a lawsuit April 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Techtronic Industries North America Inc., One World Technologies Inc. and Ryobi Technologies Inc., citing product liability, negligence and breach of implied warranty of fitness.
According to the complaint, Rihani was injured on April 25, 2012, while using a Ryobi RTS10 table saw due to insubstantial safety technology. Rihani claims there is advanced flesh-sensing technology the defendants failed to incorporate in the design, manufacture and sale of the saw.
Rihani is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney F. John Cushing III.
