Man sues property owner after board fell from building, struck him

A Chicago property owner is being sued after a board fell from a building and struck a man on the sidewalk.

Darrin Higgins filed a lawsuit April 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Keith Neuman, citing negligence.

The complaint states Higgins was on the sidewalk outside defendant's building at 1426 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago on April 12, when he was injured by a board that had fallen from the building.

Higgins claims Neuman acted negligently, which caused his injuries.

He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Susan E. Loggans & Associates P.C.
