A Cook County woman is suing over injuries she claims she sustained after falling on ice outside of a Walgreens store in the southwest suburbs.
Michelle Tapia filed a lawsuit April 24 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Walgreen Co., citing negligence.
Tapia claims she suffered injuries when she slipped and fell on an unnatural accumulation of ice and snow outside the Walgreens at 11053 Southwest Highway in Palos Hills. She contends the defendant's failure to remove ice and snow from its sidewalks and parking lot resulted in her fall and injuries.
Tapia is seeking damages in excess of the minimum amount required and is being represented by Chicago attorney Michelle M. Kohut of Corboy & Demetrio P.C.
