Slip spurs suit against Arlington Park Racecourse

A woman is suing a racetrack over a slip and fall incident.

Dana James filed suit April 29 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Arlington Park Racecourse LLC, Arlington International Racecourse Inc.,The Duchossois Group Inc. and Churchill Downs Inc., all individually and doing business as Arlington Park Racecourse.

The complaint states James was at the racetrack at 2200 W. Euclid Ave. in Arlington Heights on July 4, 20012, when she slipped and fell on a slippery liquid substance. She claims she sustained injuries as a result of the defendants' negligence.

James is seeking more than $30,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by Scott L. Spiegel of Law Office of Daniel E. Goodman LLC.
