City of Harvey hit with complaint over pothole

Pothole

A woman is suing the City of Harvey over claims she was injured after tripping and falling over a pothole.

Angela Banks filed a lawsuit April 29 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the City of Harvey, citing negligence.

Banks claims she tripped on a pothole in the parking lot of a property maintained by the defendant at 15320 Broadway in Harvey. The suit alleges the parking lot wasn't properly maintained, which resulted in the formation of the pothole Banks sustained injuries from.

She is seeking damages in excess of $30,000 and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Michael F. Conway of Conway Law Office P.C.
