Brandon Feliszak, individually and as the father of the child, filed a lawsuit May 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against McDonald's Restaurants of Illinois Inc., citing negligence.

Feliszak claims his son was injured while playing in a McDonald's play area at 15920 Harlem Ave. in Tinley Park on Oct. 7, 2011, when he came in contact with a door that was propped open on his way down the slide.

Feliszak is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Timothy P. Rhatigan of Rhatigan Law Offices LLC.
