A Cook County woman is suing her former boyfriend and his father, claiming they got her fired after antagonizing her employer.

JeAnna Stovall filed a lawsuit May 9 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Kieran A. Cox and Donald L. Cox, citing willful and wanton conduct and breach of fiduciary duty.

According to the suit, Stovall began a relationship with Kieran in the fall of 2010 and they had a son together on Oct. 16, 2011. The suit states Stovall filed a petition for child support after their relationship ended in July 2012 and was awarded $1,577 per month.

Stovall claims Kieran began threatening harm to her after she got the court's permission to move from California to Illinois, and physically battered her on July 8, injuring her lower body. She alleges the defendants created a conflict with and antagonized her employers in an effort to get her fired so Kieran could gain sole custody of their son.

Stovall is seeking damages, as well as attorneys fees, interest and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Adrain P. Zeno of Zeno Law Office P.C.
