A couple is suing the City of Chicago, alleging its negligent repair of a sidewalk in Millennium Park led to their injuries.
Douglas Lee and Marvel Lee-Haight filed a lawsuit May 9 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the City of Chicago, citing premises liability.
According to the complaint, Lee and Lee-Haight were walking on a pathway in Millennium Park on May 11, 2013, when they sustained injuries due to a depression in gap-filler inserted by the city in an attempt to repair the sidewalk.
Lee and Lee-Haight are seeking more than $50,000 in damages and are being represented in the case by attorney Samantha J. Yozze of Malatesta Law Offices LLC.
