Alden Lakeland Nursing Home is being sued over a resident's death.
Marilyn Frye, as administrator of the Estate of Edna Hines, filed a lawsuit May 5 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Alden Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, doing business as Alden Lakeland Nursing Home, citing negligence and wrongful death.
The suit states Hines was a resident at the defendant's facility at 820 W. Lawrence Ave. in Chicago from Dec. 30, 2010 to Feb. 5, 2011. Frye claims the nursing home negligently monitored and cared for Hines, resulting in an infection at her feeding tube site and the amputation of multiple limbs.
