Man accuses dozens of companies of negligence over alleged asbestos exposure

Cooney

A former laborer is suing over claims repeated exposure to asbestos resulted in mesothelioma.

A.W. Chesterton Co. and Crane Co. are among dozens of defendants named in an asbestos lawsuit filed April 29 in the Cook County Circuit Court by Timothy Jung and his wife, Rosemary.

The plaintiffs allege from 1977 until present day, Timothy worked in various capacities, including laborer and was exposed to asbestos containing products. The suit states Timothy developed mesothelioma as a result of the asbestos exposure.

The Jungs contend the defendants were negligent and knew or should have known asbestos could cause injury or death.

They are asking for damages in excess of jurisdictional minimums, plus costs, and are being represented by Chicago attorney Robert J. Cooney Jr. of Cooney & Conway.
