Woman sues Pete's Fresh Market, claims she slipped on vomit

A woman is suing an Evergreen Park grocery store, claiming she sustained injuries after slipping on what appeared to be vomit.

Jennifer Pyles filed a lawsuit May 2 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Pete's Fresh Market 95th Corporation, doing business as Pete's Fresh Market, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Pyles was a customer at Pete's Fresh Market on W. 95th Street on April 8, 2013, when she slipped on a substance on the floor in an aisle that appeared to be vomit. She accuses the defendant of failing to keep the premises free from danger and cleaning up the hazard.

Pyles is seeking more than $50,000 in damages. She is being represented in the case by attorneys at Nilson, Stookal, Gleason & Caputo Ltd. in Chicago.
