A Cook County man is suing over claims he was injured when a chunk of concrete fell from a building and onto his head.
James Garnett filed a lawsuit May 7 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Anthony and Vanessa F. Tolbert and Wells Fargo Bank N.A., as trustee for Carrington Mortgage Loan Trust Series 2006 NC4 Asset-backed Pass-through certificates, citing premises liability.
According to the complaint, Garnett was walking on the sidewalk on South Austin Boulevard in Chicago on March 30, 2013, when a chunk of concrete fell on his head from a building owned and maintained by the defendants.
Garnett is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorneys at Heller & Richmond Ltd.
