An attendee of last year's Wavefront Music Festival is suing several companies, alleging they failed to safely construct a railing she claims gave way and caused her to fall off the stage.
Jessica Janes filed a lawsuit May 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Digital Waves Chicago I LLC, Vasta and Associates Inc., 4 Headed Productions, Env Productions, Advanced Concert Productions and Arena Events Services Inc.
According to the suit, Janes sustained injuries while attending the Wavefront Music Festival at Montrose Beach in Chicago on July 7. Janes claims she was leaning on a railing when both she and the railing fell off the stage, causing her to sustain injuries and pain, as well as incur medical bills and lost earnings.
She accuses the defendants of failing to safely construct the railing in order to properly protect the concert attendees.
Janes is seeking damages in an amount exceeding jurisdictional limits of the court and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney James E. Ocasek of Cooney & Conway.
