Pills

A woman is suing a drug store, claiming the pharmacist incorrectly filled her prescription.

Barbara E. Healy filed a lawsuit May 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court against pharmacist Ralph Cardone and the Walgreen Co., citing negligence.

The lawsuit states Healy had a prescription filled by Cardone at the Walgreen’s store at 7155 W. Foster Ave. in Chicago, on March 20, 2013. Healy alleges Cardone failed to read the prescription correctly and check the prescription with her doctor for the correct name of the medication, which caused her to suffer.

Healy is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and is being represented by Jeffrey J. Tallis of Faklis & Tallis P.C.
