Trip and fall leads to suit against Marriott Shaumburg, others

A Westmont woman is suing over allegations she was injured after falling on debris at the Marriott in Shaumburg.

Margaret McFarland filed a lawsuit May 6 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Marriott International Inc., Iprocschaumburg LLC and Iprocschaumburg HR LLC.

McFarland claims she suffered injuries when she tripped and fell on debris at the Marriott at 50 N. Martingale Road in Shaumburg on June 5, 2012. She accuses the defendants of failing to keep the floors free from debris.

McFarland is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and other relief the court deems appropriate. She is being represented in the case by Chicago attorney Matthias D. Gill on behalf of Hoey & Farina P.C.
