A woman is suing a dental practice, claiming she suffered injuries due to a dentist's negligence during a molar extraction.
Maria Piekarska filed a lawsuit May 14 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Dr. Maria J. Lysinska and Lysinski Ltd., citing medical malpractice.
According to the complaint, Piekarska went to Lysinski Ltd. for an oral anesthetic and molar extraction on July 31, 2012. Piekarska claims the anesthetic was injected by a non-licensed individual, the dentist failed to diagnose trigeminal nerve irritation, and was not told about the complications associated with molar extraction.
Piekarska is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented by attorney Ursula B. Babicz.
