Man claims inadequate care at former long-term care facility led to skin issues

Alexander

A former resident of a long-term care facility is suing over allegations he received inadequate care.

Owen Flack filed a lawsuit April 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Mayfield Care Center Inc., California Gardens Corp., doing business as California Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Alden-Lincoln Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc. and Concord Nursing and Rehabilitation Center LLC, citing the Nursing Home Care Act.

The complaint states Flack resided at the defendants' facility beginning May 1, 2012. While a resident, Flack claims he developed decubitus ulcers and other skin issues due to the defendants' providing him inadequate care.

Flack is seeking damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum and is being represented in the case by Ian R. Alexander of Goldberg & Goldberg.
