A worker is suing a trio of companies over allegations he was injured when he unloaded materials from his truck.
John Bauer filed a lawsuit May 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Midwest Construction Partners Inc., Bulley & Andrews LLC and Nelco Worldwide, doing business as Nelco, citing negligence.
Bauer claims he suffered injuries on May 10, 2012, when he was manually unloading materials from his truck for the defendants' construction project at 3201 Old Glenview Road in Wilmette.
According to the suit, the defendants failed to provide a mechanical device for Bauer to use in unloading the materials off his truck and when he was manually unloading the materials, a pallet collapsed, which caused the load to shift and injure Bauer.
Bauer is seeking damages and is being represented in the case by Chicago attorneys James J. Morici Jr. and Mitchell B. Friedman of Morici, Figlioli & Associates.
