A man is suing over claims he was injured while riding a city bus on his wheelchair.

Ray Nelson Sr. filed a lawsuit May 23 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the Chicago Transit Authority, alleging negligence.

According to the suit, Nelson was a passenger in a wheelchair on a CTA bus on June 7, 2010, when an incident of negligent driving caused him to sustain injuries to his head, body and limbs. Nelson claims later that day he fell off the exit ramp backwards when another passenger hit the control knob of his motorized wheelchair.

Nelson is seeking more than $30,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Andrew J. Fink of Solis Law Firm PC.
